KnowARC and Grid middleware standards
Implemented standards
KnowARC implements (in NorduGrid/ARC Grid middleware) and contributes to development of a number of standards, mostly in the framework of the Open Grid Forum (OGF). ARC Grid middleware design and development follows Open Grid Services Architecture; KnowARC is thus involved (either as a contributor or as an implementator) in a number of relevant OGF Working Groups.
- OGSA: Open Grid Services Architecture WG
- BES: OGSA Basic Execution Services WG
- HPCP: High Performance Computing Profile WG
- GLUE: Glue Schema Working Group
- JSDL: Job Submission Description Language WG
- SRM: Grid Storage Management Working Group
- GIN: Grid Interoperation Now Community Group, brings together implementators of various standards and conducts interoperability tests
- X.509: Globus' implementation of X.509 is a de facto Grid standard, followed by KnowARC
